    Is it safe to stand DVR's vertically?

    I have a DVR 921 receiver that can be hidden behind my TV if I were to stand it vertically. Does anyone have an opinion if this would be safe? Is there any potiential of damaging or shortening the life of the hard drive?

    Does 921's Hard Drive Ever Stop Spinning? (in Standby)

    Does any one know??? Does the model 921's hard drive ever stop spinning when you go into standby? I have a 501 and this drive stops about 10 minutes after I go into standby. But by 921's drive never stops. Seems like a lot of wear and tear having this running 24x7.
