Great game in the usual crappy SD. This match was supposed to be broadcast by Sky sports in 3D to select pubs in Britain. Hopefully the PQ was better than that of D*.

The issue of what HD channnels to add with the new sat. is obviously very personal. I would love to see D* poll its subscribers and post the results. Anyone have a breakdown of the current band-width allocation? How much is taken-up by HDPPV? Ultimately D*'s allegiance is to the bottom...

you don't give a sh** about soccer? Well, I don't give a sh** about baseball. But, i am not so narrow-minded that I would suggest that it doesn't count. Minimizing soccer as a "minority sport " is both ignorant and inflamatory.

We all have our priorities. I would be happy to trade any number of the above mentioned band-width hogs for soccer in HD.

Adding soccer to the wide variety of other sports available on HD may not be a top priority, but it should still happen.

The only reason I pay for the Directv sports package is Fox Soccer Channel. Picking it up in HD should be a no-brainer.

As I can only watch these games if I manage to record them, I'm going to have to go with FSC games and forget the UEFA tease from DTV. I miss ESPN's HD UEFA broadcasts.

Good luck Directv no longer offers a Tivo machine. There is some hope for a new DVR offering Tivo, but I wouldn't hold my breath. No date, no technical details, no buzz. Current non-Tivo Directv dvrs can be set-up to record two programs at the same time.

Some specific information would be nice. Endgadget HD reports that Directv has cancelled development on the HDPC-20 project integrating Directv service into the Windows media center.

So, if I switch from one tuner to the othe , direct dvr's don't automatcally buffer programming from BOTH tuners? I was thinking the " records 90 minutes live" feature was an upgrade over Tivo's 30 minutes.

Now you've got me nervous. With my HR10 Tivo I can record two different channels simultaneously and watch something pre-recorded from the hard drive. I had assumed that this was a standard feature. Am I dreaming?
