Finally got NR 059F to download. Still no playlist. HR21-700 w/ext. hard drive

4th attempt no good either. Will not download. I'm using the CE method. 02468.

Yep. Lost my playlist. Trying to download NR now. It says searching for 059F but not downloading. Very frustrating. I guess NR not available right now. Will try later.

Finally determined it would only give me the "pink screen" image when a channel change also changed the display resolution. Changed native resolution setting to "off" and now no more problems.

Tried all that. No change. It started doing this immediately after the CE download Friday night. Guess I'll have to go back to NR.

Pink Screen Often when changing channels or bringing up guide, menu, etc., I will get a pink overlay to entire screen. Turning DVR off then on will fix it. Tried reset, no change. HR-21-700

How do you set that up and does it work?

Additional info: After about 10 tries I was able to force NR (04D1) download without resetting everything. I don't know if it had anything at all to do with it, but I tried switching to non-HD channel as mc alluded to before trying to force NR download again. Looks like I'm back in business with...

mc thanks for posting about your ordeal. I've been unable to force NR download also. I'm reluctant to try reset everything. Did you lose your recordings when you did this? Sounds like this issue is limited to the HR21-700. Do you have ext hard drive also?

Same thing here with my HR21-700. Black screen, will only show recorded content. Re-downloaded CE again Saturday night, same results. Guess I'll get the NR in the morning. First time I've ever had to go back to NR.

Same thing on my HR-21. No guide on my SD TV unless I manually select 480 mode.

Anyone here this week? I'm noticing slow response to guide. Not at first, but more so as the week goes on. Sometimes 3-5 seconds to page down on the guide or change channels. HR-21-700.

After download last night, my HR21-700 would not recognize the external hard drive. I thought I'd lost all of my recordings at first. Tried several restarts and then re-downloaded 039E to no avail. This morning I disconnected ext. drive, restarted HR21, then unpowered HR21 and ext. drive...

Downloaded latest CE Friday night. Widgets working on my HR-21-700. Website will not allow me to add weather channel widget. When I click on add, nothing happens.

I've seen this also. It just freezes for 30 sec's or so then continues scrolling. It's definitely a freeze up. Unit won't respond to any command while stopped. Like you said it happens seldom enough that I can't see replacing the unit but it needs to be fixed. I have HR21-700.

Upgraded HR21-700 last night. I had 3 VOD programs in que and 1 downloading prior to upgrade. After upgrade, que was empty and the downloading program was saved as a partial program. Will post more if anything else turns up.

I keep trying VOD and channel 1000, still nothing. I guess I'll just give it more time. Thanks.

Thanks! I definately got 0x1fe last night and I activated VOD via 800# last night also. Still nothing on VOD. It's been 14+ hours now. Should I re-download tonight?

Ditto for me. 1st download HR21-700. Nothing happens on DoD. No channel 1000. Remote scheduling works fine. I think I'll re-download tonight and see what happens.
