I interviewed with Mastec about a year ago for a dispatch position. I asked them how they handle quota for different time frames. Does it cut off automatically, does the dispatcher adjust it according to installer work load capabilities, etc. Their reply was that Directv controlled quota and it...
Where I live and probably everywhere the installers are either contractors or work for contractors. Generally, the faster you "complete" jobs the more you make so why take your time and do the best job. AM appointments are generally overbooked because DTV contolls quota irregardless of what the...
I'm in the Atlanta area and one of my HR10's has downloaded 6.3a and is now having problems. Rebooting at least 3 times, not recording a season pass and saying it is when you click on the show. We'll see what tomorrow brings. Missed the 1st 21 minutes of the Veronica Mars season premier.
I think I see what you're saying. With your RCA, you're, apparently, making the picture smaller which would give the illusion of a sharper picture. The Tivo itself, will not shrink the picture size to give this illusion.
Howdy...I'm not really sure what you're saying. Are you getting a proper 16x9 image on hi-def 16x9 broadcasts?
Are you trying to get things broadcast in 4x3 stretched? There's a Ratio button on the remote top left to do this.
Are you outputting component to your TV?
Do you have the...
According to USA Today, Phillips is seeking patents on technology which will allow broadcasters to block skipping and apparently fast forwarding of all DVR's at any broadcaster's discression.

Yeah...If TIVO would upgrade our HR10-250's to MPRG-4 that would be ideal. Buggy HD DVR led me away from Dish Notwork also. Had Tivo for cable for years so when D* went with TIVO HD DVR's that made up my mind to switch. Looks like cable will end up with the only TIVO HD DVR's so I may have to...
Hey...I'm with you on the 30 second skip. It's a favorite with me for sports...especially football. As long as my HD Tivos will do it and no other High Def DVR will, I'll be keeping the Tivos.
CEV...are you using the Tivo guide or the DirecTV guide? You have the option of using one or the other. Once you get the hang of using the Tivo guide, I think you'll like it. I've used the Dish 528 and a Motorola DVR with comcast and much prefer Tivo. YMMV.
Had E* went to D*...The present HD receivers with E* were the reason I switched...They don't work well at all. + I love Tivo...The only complaint I have with D* is their channels aren't grouped that well.
Howdy---Excellent condition 508 receiver with remote, manual and RF remote antenna in original box. $175.00 includes UPS insured ground shipping. Will take paypal or us postal money order. Has the yellow smart card and no balance on account.

I've had both services and switched to DirecTV for the hi-def Tivo. While standard def dvrs with Dishnetwork may do some things faster, most people who have used both find the Tivo dvr's with much more functional once you get used to them. I could never recommend Dishnetworks dvr's over DTV's.
On 2 occasions since 2.80 download the video output has gone to a black screen and no audio. If you brought uip the 811 menu it would show but where the Sat. picture should be it would be a black screen. This has happened on both satellite sd and off air HD. Unplugging and plugging back in has...
