Any "How long have you been with Dish?" threads on the forum?

November, 1998 for me. Built a weekend home on a lake north of town and needed TV service there. But we've stayed active with them all these years. As we moved from home to home. Currently we have 5 receivers installed, and 4 old ones in a closet somewhere. We used SD receivers and a couple of...

Using my Vip622 with Wingard Carryout Portable Dish

Do you use it for longer periods of time... a month or more?? Our Wingard Carryout can see 110. 119, & 129, by the way. So we have HD.

Using my Vip622 with Wingard Carryout Portable Dish

Yeah, I'm leaning toward replacing an old 301 in my wife's exercise room with a 211. Then we can take that on road with us.

Using my Vip622 with Wingard Carryout Portable Dish

D'oh! I got the model wrong. I don't have 622s I have ViP612s. Does that make any difference?? I could have sworn I had 622's but now I remember, I didn't need the dual TV outputs of the 622 so I went with the 612.

Using my Vip622 with Wingard Carryout Portable Dish

Interesting. Actually, our 3 months is not all at once. It's broken up into 3 separate months over a 5 month period.

Thanks I didn't know that was an option.

Using my Vip622 with Wingard Carryout Portable Dish

Yeah, I do understand about the two satellite issue. But see, the 622 records scheduled recordings on the 2nd tuner. So, without the second input we can pause and record live TV, but we can't set any programs for recording on a timer.

Using my Vip622 with Wingard Carryout Portable Dish

I have a house full of TVs and Dish Receivers. Currently we have 3 VIP622 DVR receivers (plus 2 non-dvr receivers). We spend about 3 months a year in our travel trailer each summer. For the Trailer we have a Winegard Carryout automatic SAT dish. And the trailer has a dedicated SAT input and...

    RVing locals

We got a dish for our travel trailer about a year ago. During that time we've gone on about a dozen camping trips and we've always had our local stations wherever we went. But now we're on a two week trip farther from home and suddenly I can't get locals. My locals are on sat 110 and spotbeam...

Lost Sat 119 on ONE receiver

Yeah, I'm aware of that and have one to use with it. I tried the reboot and didn't get channels below 100. I'll have to have a refresh sent by Dish.

Lost Sat 119 on ONE receiver

The 4000 shows 4 boxes, 110 even and 110 odd and 119 even and 119 odd and all of them have X for OK.

Lost Sat 119 on ONE receiver

No, I haven't. We have two 501 DVRs but we hate 'em compared to the TIVO they're lousy. Is the 722 or 625 much different? Also, is there any way to get a 4000 receiver to recognize channels below 100? I'm using this extra 4000 until we replace the 301 and we have to get our locals at 8470 and...

Lost Sat 119 on ONE receiver

Oh one more thing, is there a better receiver -- that uses IR to change channels that I should try to find? Or is the 311 the way to go?

Lost Sat 119 on ONE receiver

Thanks for the response. I was afraid that was it. It was a cheap $99 receiver and we did get it something like 8 years ago. Thanks again. I have an extra 4000, but since this is used on a TV with TIVO I need the IR receiver like a 301 so the TIVO can change the chanels. The 4000 is UHF and...

Lost Sat 119 on ONE receiver

I have 5 receivers on a Dish 500 system. Two of the receivers each have a single coax coming from the LNB and the other three receivers get their signal from a DP34 switch. The switch has two coax's coming in from the LNB (it's a 4 connection Dual LNB). About 3 weeks ago the 3 receivers on the...
