I have a 2-hopper + joey coming. Current system is 2- 722s, one with the second tuner feeding an SD TV in an upstairs bedroom. The problem is the bedroom is a complete mess, and I would be embarrassed as hell to let an installer in there. Yes, the easy solution is to clean up but long story...

Hi all, I am planning on upgrading my 2 722s. I do not presently have the EHD enabled on either receiver; what do I have to do to transfer all the recordings off my two receivers when I transfer? Is there still a charge to enable the EHD? Is there a way this can be waived for a one-time...

Don't think that'll be possible - Dish has a 4-tuner limit. The HD DVRs are 2 tuners each. You may be stuck with only 1 HD DVR and 2 HD tuners (222?). And that's if they even allow you to lease 3 HD receivers...:no

Great... That's just great... I have a 1000.2 / 722 upgrade scheduled for tomorrow, and the original installer (8 years ago) put the dish on the peak of my 2-story roof, just in front of the chimney. Wonder what'll happen? :(

Question, which may pertain to this thread - If I have a 942 and get a 622 or 722, can I use 722 in single mode & 942 in dual (all HD capable)? Would this require a second antenna?
