Struggling with Aspect Ratio on new TV

I just bought a Coby 46" LED HDTV (yes, I know that it is an 'off' brand, but the price was too good to pass up) which has very nice HD image quality, but I cannot figure out how to get my Dish receiver (722) or TV to display the proper aspect ratio. The TV only has several screen size choices...

    Broadband USB

I'm thinking that this is just getting off the ground, and expect to see more/better offerings in the future. For me, just using the USB wireless for remote access to my DVR and as a substitute for a connected phone line (I went VOIP years ago) seems worth $25.

    Broadband and it's Purpose

I agree that the VOD offerings aren't too impressive. I downloaded a movie just to see that I could, and it worked fine (but slo-o-o-o-w). I do like having the ability to manage my DVR from a web browser or my iPad.

    Broadband USB

The USB wireless adapter from Dish is indeed a repackaged Netgear WNDA 3100, but it only costs $25 and that includes an extension cable, a plastic mount (to mount the adapter away from devices that could cause interference), and instructions for setting up broadband access. At best, you could...

    iPhone Dish remote Access

I signed in to Dish Remote Access, and it worked fine. I am using a VIP 612 receiver with Dish's USB wireless connector. I just logged on to see the program grid and which shows are set to be recorded tonight. I also downloaded the iPad app that also allows me to manage the content on my...

    Great Dish Service Experience!

I've been an E* subscriber almost from the very beginning, and have experienced ups and downs with customer and tech service, but I have to share what happened yesterday: Sunday morning, I perused the Dish Network web site, saw the 'HD for Life' promotion, and decided to finally take the HD...

3 Months free Starz & HD Platinum

Yesterday, when I upgraded to an HD DVR, they asked if I wanted the 3 months of Starz and HD Platinum, and a minute later, I had it.

Fisher Communications Channels are BACK on Dish!

I've lost my patience over this issue. I can't get KOMO OTA, even though I am supposedly in the area that can. I've been an E* subscriber since the beginning but now I'm wondering why I haven't gone over to DTV. They certainly know an opportunity when they see one and hit me up with a mailing at...

Welcome New Members! (Please Say HI here!)

Hi, I'm Al from Washington (the State). I have been a Dish subscriber since '96. Since then, we've been through 3 dishes, 5 remotes and 2 receivers, but all in all, I'm pretty happy. When our original receiver became obsolete, Dish shipped us a DVR (501) which changed our lives (maybe not for...
