HD Pict Quality after 284 I just got 284 downloaded this week. Now, the high definition channels :mad: pq is not what it was on 281. Did my eyes go bad overnight or has anyone else seen this deterioration? All settings are the same as before regarding 1080, pict enhancements, etc. :mad:

I'm confused as to how the downloads for new software occurs, and when. I am at p281, 811 set to allow automatic updates. Is that all I need to do to get latest 284 update?

To fredl; I was with directv for four years, never a problem. I can't say so much for Dish. Give Directv a try, you may like it. :yes

Jason; Thanks for working with me on my problem. It is resolved; I received the replacement from Dish today, plugged it in and all is well. Scanned in seven local analogs and four digitals. Sure wasn't easy getting them to send another dish though. Bill
