    Thanks for the help guys. Another question if I may: When aligning the dish - do I need to use Tuner 2 or Tuner 1 in the Point Dish screen, or does it matter?

    Ahhhh - so it isn't new. looks like I'll be making a call to get this one replaced if I can't figure out any other reason for the reception error Thanks for the info.

    Ok, just to make sure, I swapped them again. I first cleared the matrix with a cables out check switch, then another check switch with the cables swapped . . . same result - Reception Error on Sat 2. Interesting, because this is a new receiver from Dish that replaced my old 522 (drive failure)
