my guess is D* knows this will cannibalize ST subs. I'd love for them to prove me wrong and offer it, as the leader in HD or some such gobbledygook, but they wont.

i'd take the red zone channel over paying 400$ for ST. D* knows this, and as such will never offer this channel. Most people i know with sunday ticket watch maybe 1 game a week on it and stick to the red zone channel the rest of the time.

so, after moving is it normal for me not to see locals in their NYC postions (2,4,5,7) and only see them in the 390's? Do i need to change something on my receiver? zip code? edit: i re-ran the sat setup and now i see 2,4,5,7 in the guide but the don't work. guess those 'channels' are a spot...

they live maybe 30 miles SE of binghamton in delaware CO. and get locals from bingamton via cable. I don't know what their OTA reception is like. according to this they are in the binghamton DMA:

well sh*t, in that case i will just use my mother in law's address in brooklyn. They will deliver the NYC locals there and there is no possibility of me needing a waiver. If i got stuck with them saying i needed to get OTA locals from Binghamton this whole thing would be for naught!

the IP on the receiver needs to be different than that of the bridge. I have my receiver setup to a dd-wrt wireless bridge and it works fine - i have it grab a static dhcp lease though.
