Sounds like your multiswitch maybe hanging up. When you have it rescan for satellites do you have the other receiver tuned to channel 100 so that it isn't causing the multiswitch to hang up for the other receiver.

I guess this means the MPEG2 stream will be around for awhile if this box doesn't do MPEG4. Why not just use the HD boxes and have the receivers just pump out 480i to those who don't have HD tvs. At some point SD should end, or at lease in the MPEG2 fashion look at the bandwith they could save.

Got it I had to go thru the whole set up process, and let the receiver reacquire all the channels but after that all is well.
