    Wonder why DTV doesn't do the online activation? My service provider will let you activate online as long as it's a new receiver.

    That's what i was thinking also...but do you think DTV actually logs ip's and checks to make sure all are coming from the us?

    Is there a risk to getting your sub shut down if you set up Direct on Demand and not live in the U.S. I'm just curious with the technology. Maybe one of the techie guys can chime in and let us know. Thanks
