My 622 is having this black screen of death quite a bit. It did not seem to do it the first few months - now it is every day or two. And the front panel lights stay on when the screen and sound go off. After a few minutes it will automatically reboot itself. Any updates on this? Any fixes...

I'm sorry to tell you that the SD channels are always going to look blocky and patchy with Dish Network. I have a 65" HD tv and the sd picture reminds me of watching a quicktime movie clip on the computer - except watching it full screen instead of in that little window. Macroblocking like crazy.

I am thinking about buying one for my girlfriend as a birthday gift for our bedroom. Currently we have a 301 receiver there - can I just buy a 508 from the dishstore and unhook the 301 and hook up the 508 and be finished? Or is there anything else involved - or any other costs that would show...
