This is my first try at getting HD GUI ... both my HR23's tell me searching, shows 04D4 and never starts downloading, just restarts and proceeds to receiver self check. Am I too early maybe ?

Mine will not go ... just says "Searching for New Software" ... and restarts after 15 minutes or so.

hey, i don't mean to nit pick ... but if anybody set there mast to level, they probably can't even operate their television let alone install a dish, however when i am to mount the mast for my dish, i'm probably going to use a tool called a level, and when you use a level it gives you a bubble...

Good News !

Successful upgrade of all receivers. double live buffer works flawless, MRV on HD works flawless, no hang-ups. Video/Audio smooth, everything working fine so far

go to Menu-> Setup-> System Setup-> Network-> Advanced Setup -> Enter receiver name using number keys on remote ... when finished select connect now, go to your HD Receiver and instead of RID # you should see receiver name. Worked for me with no problems.
