if there's 2 lnbs (ie: 2 seperate eyes not attached to each other) then you need the correct switch to bind those two together.if both eyes are in the same housing then you're good to go, no external switch needed. this applies to any dish receiver that controls only 1 television....no dual...

i don't know what the settngs are for your region for the 61.5 (too tired to research),but you are able to tie in another dish 500 kit w/ a DP dual or single into port 3 of the 1000.make sure you have dpp twin on the 1000 and then do a checkswitch.again, i don't know what you'd lose as far as HD...

bad jumper-esp. the push on f-connector type.if the cable replacement doesn't work,try using the composite connections.(red/white/yellow) off the back of the rcvr.

dish will setup a service install/and or upgrade for your additional 2 rooms.if that happens,then the installer has the separator.BTW the line are included in the cost of the SC.
