So if I understand this correctly, anyone not able to get the Atlanta spot beams is SOL for FSS or FSN HD??? I don't understand that at all. Is there plans to put that out in 2008?

722, the CBS feed of the Denver-Jax game, has been doing this all during the game. At least once per minute or more often. Don't hear it on the local network HD games, but on this channel its fairly consistent.

Anyone else having audio issues on the NFL-ST HD channels? 721 and 722 are constantly having sound dropouts about every 20-30 seconds or so. I am even seeing pixelation stripes on 722 on occasion when the dropout happens. For the amount of money D* gets for this Superfan package this is...

Yeah...I know...probably an over reaction...but its frustrating that they would tier the HD channels such that you just have to keep upgrading your package to get channels that I would not consider "premium" channels. One of those reactions where just when I think D* is about to set itself...

So they are going to take away HDNet channels, as well as others, and charge more under an HDExtra pak?? That would be bullsh**. Should have figured they would have found ways to re-tier everything to get more money out of subscribers. How about getting rid of some the crap we have to watch...

I don't get it...I pay for the HD package with D* and yet I am not allowed to view the Predators vs Red Wings game on the HD channel [95] because it is being shown on our RSN SD channel? What is wrong with this picture?? This is one of the things I really hate about D* and anyone else...

I keep reading the "I want these channels in HD threads" but I wonder how many of the networks are planning to even offer these channels in HD anytime soon? I wish every channel I currently receive was in HD even if I don't watch most of them....at least if I decided to pause on a particular...

I also would have no issues [for now] with the quality of the HD signal I now receive if D* could do something to make their SD signal even remotely acceptable, given that the majority of channels offered are SD and not HD.

I actually setup the bucket of cement with a pipe sticking out approach and it works like a charm. After 3 years into it we are always in the same parking spot and I have the elevation locked down. I have a light pole off in the distance that I point it to and hit in the 90s every time...

Sorry for the delay in replying. Sound came back on after I did a power cycle on my HR10, however I did not check it right before I did that so am not sure the sound was still missing at that time. Either way...its back and all is good for now.

Its connected directly from my HR10 to my AV receiver, as it has been all along. It was not doing this earlier today. I have not tried rebooting the receiver yet, was waiting to make sure it may be just me before sitting through that slow Tivo reboot process. Thanks for the quick reply!

Its about 8:35pm and for some reason I have no sound on any of the HD channels on my HR10. Anyone else noticing the problem?:confused:

What kind of market research does D* perform to come up with the channels that they add?? If this MTV channel is the next HD channel added...that is just ridiculous.

I guess this is where I am the most frustrated with D*....basically turning their subscriber base into beta testers. WHY are they having these issues with the MPEG4 signals at this pont? They had to have tested this before rolling it out, which tells me they new it was screwed up from the...

Interesting...we watched the game last night and we thought the picture was great. I did not see any artifacts or any blurriness related to motion.

I called them yesterday and got the HD DVR for $299 and free installation. My guess is they are giving the $200 instant rebate/credit to coincide with what I believe is a similar deal that Dish is ramping up.

Whether old news or not, here is something I found in search my state's AG website...funny it claims Tennessee's portion of the settlement was to go to consumer education on the subject....never even heard about this much less seen any information by the state on the subject...

I have been with D* since 97 and I find myself seriously looking at moving over to Comcast. I just got into the HD fray in the last month with a new TV and am getting my networks in HD over my lifeline cable service...and it looks fantastic. SD on the cable looks better than SD from my DTivo...

So what number did you call to get to retention??
