My 211K would not accept a 1.5T last week; It was fine with a 1T and that is what the firmware error message for the 1.5 indicate, i.e., 1T was the max size.

The WD Elements 1TB arrived yesterday and everything went smoothly. Recognized, called the automated Dish number to turn it on, and in less than a minute was able to format it, and check out the settings for pause, future program recording, etc.

The only way is to try it and see what happens. Being digital, it will work or it won't. If you get a steady picture you are fine.

I also would be most interested in finding a table of charges. Seems that the easy to find info is geared towards incentives for new customers, not those like me in the 11th year.

It falls between what the current 211K's firmware reports and the purported increase in that limit to be pushed out by Dishnet. Question relates to when the latter is expected.

Update. I opened the case and it contains a single drive, so that is not the issue. Also, the 211K is set to update automatically in the wee hours.
