I received the waiver over the phone from a Dish rep. It took about 10 minutes and I had the channel immediately. The waiver came from Cleveland, who I belive did not have a CBS-HD feed at the time.

They told me I needed a waiver. I do get other locals from Cleveland. The CBS-HD feed comes from New York. I think the waiver would not be needed if I was able to receive New York locals.

I tried the Monster HDMI as compared to the component. No difference on my Sony 55" LCD Rear Projection with the 811. I returned the cable and saved the $120!

I tried a monster HMI-DVI cable and ended up returning it. It made no difference in picture quality either in HD or analog. I have a new Sony 55" Sony LCD with the 811. Definately not worth spending $120 on.

Does anyone know if there is a way to use the 811 remote with the Sony 897 receiver (at least for Volume). I have tried the published codes in the 811 manual and also tried the "Power Search" routine without success. Dish does not guarantee the remote will work with all receivers, but why would...
