    Charge for Wallys?

Why didn't you get a free one from Dish?? I'll never understand people buying receivers online. I hope you added a hybrid solo node...

    Dish hacked again or closed?

The video is from 7 months ago and the article has no statement from Dish. I wouldn't call that "news".

Looking for a single tuner OTA Dongle for the 211Z

If you're not getting local channels through Dish, it's not our problem ;)

Looking for a single tuner OTA Dongle for the 211Z

Just plug the antenna into your tv. Solved.

Can't please everyone, especially this guy lol.

2 Recording questions that confuse me!

Dish will replace your purchased receiver with the same receiver model and it will remain your property. It's been that way for a decade.

    Joey 4 Internet Connection Loss

I've now successfully completed 6 service calls for this exact issue. No one wants to believe it's their expensive router, but it is. Nothing wrong with it, but configurations are necessary.

    Joey 4 Internet Connection Loss

"No time to mess with it right now"?????? It's been two weeks and all you had to do was flip a switch. 30 seconds. Well, thanks for starting this thread seeking help, then doing nothing about it when people try to help you. I'll remember that for your next cry wolf lol.

2 Recording questions that confuse me!

Nah. Dish will replace your purchased receiver just the same and your new one will still be purchased. Where do you get your info from??

    owning vs leasing

Yeah, man. Never doubted you. It was all the talk about how much receivers are supposed to be, owned or leased. Sorry if it seemed like I was commenting against your posts. I'd like everyone to get a better rate.

    owning vs leasing

I upgrade people every day. There's always exceptions, and it sometimes depends on who you get on the phone to make those exceptions. The standard fees of $15 for a hopper, $10 for hopper duo, $10 for super joey and $7 for a joey, leased or owned, are from Dish, not me. Anything you get cheaper...

    Joey 4 Internet Connection Loss

The more expensive the device, the more headaches it produces. Every time. I've had zero problems with Google and Linksys wifi6 mesh systems.

    Joey 4 Internet Connection Loss

Here's an interesting thread from a few years ago on Reddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubiquiti/comments/isueqi/anyone_had_issues_with_dish_hopper3s_and_ubiquiti/

    Joey 4 Internet Connection Loss

Nothing. Your Ubiquiti router is fine, it just doesn't understand the hopper 3 and it's separate IPs for the joeys. It thinks it's a rogue gateway or something. Turn off the threat scanner and you're good.

    Joey 4 Internet Connection Loss

YES!!! Ubiquiti. This is why you're losing internet on your joeys. Go into the ubiquiti settings and turn OFF the threat scanner. I learned this a couple years ago with one of my customers.

    Weak sound on Hopper 3

Ok, but again, are you using the tv speakers or a soundbar or stereo? What is the flow from the hopper to the sound? ex. Hopper-hdmi to tv-optical to soundbar, or Hopper-hdmi to audio receiver- hdmi to tv. Or is it just Hopper- hdmi to tv.

    owning vs leasing

Yep. "Loyal Customer fee" is not the standard fee. That's exactly what I'm saying. You got a grandfathered fee when you upgraded. I own my equipment and pay $15 AND $7 for the H3 and J3. That is the standard price. You have to be careful who you're getting info from.

Repointing Dish after 129 Shuts Down

Not really. If your pole/mast is plumb and the dish settings are correct for your area, the 110, 119 and 129 will be as high as they get. That was the design of the 1000.2 dish. Even if you had an old 500 dish pointed directly at one of those orbitals, the signal strength would be relative. Here...

    owning vs leasing

You absolutely can sell them. You own them. But the sucker that buys them won't be able to activate them, most likely. This is why purchasing receivers from 3rd parties is risky. It doesn't make business sense for Dish to allow used receivers to be sold and activated on different accounts. They...

    owning vs leasing

I DID read each post, and I know exactly who you are, Troy lol. Customers can get loyalty discounts if they get the right CSR (account specialists) on the phone and agree to certain terms, but overall pricing on receivers is standard.

    Joey 4 Internet Connection Loss

Is the Hopper connected to a modem or router or combo modem router? What is the make and model of your modem/router?
  22. J

    Weak sound on Hopper 3

Go into the settings - audio, and turn off volume levelling. If that makes no difference, try a better HDMI, but it's not going be to as loud as a streaming app. The Hopper does decrease the audio loudness. Also, do you use a stereo or soundbar system? Is the Hopper run through a stereo receiver...

    owning vs leasing

I have no idea what you guys are talking about in this thread lol. Hoppers Duos are $10 a month. Hopper Sling and Hopper 3 are $15 a month. Joeys are $7. There's no additional fee for the Hopper Plus. It still costs the same monthly fee for leased or owned equipment. The advantage to owning your...

LOL Same here. Customers expect us to say "yes".
