Traditional/Streaming Live TV Providers Losses, 4th Quarter 2025 Edition

Location is important. If you're close enough to a tower with capacity, the 5G home services are the way to go and you don't have the issues you have with mobile devices. The radio used is much higher power than a phone because it can be larger and doesn't need to balance power usage due to a...

Check out the 5G home services too, they really work great and are reasonably priced.

    Boost Mobile

True, and a lot of people still think like this and even lump T-Mobile into that category as well. It's such outdated thinking, it hearkens back to the days when the only way to buy a phone (Nokia candy bar or flip phone!) was through a carrier. Now the smart people buy direct from Apple...

    Just got this bad boy

If they were installed correctly with the struts they were fine. My bigger issues was all the wiring and the switch, it all looked so sloppy.

    Just got this bad boy

It was so big and heavy it required support struts, plus an external powered switch. Just a terrible setup.

    Cold weather signal loss

Back in the day they had a batch of bad Twin LNBs that brand new out of the box would lose signal on the first warm day. Replaced at least a hundred of them.

Android TV on Hopper 3 Without Plus Upgrade?

Must be leftover from the Hopper Plus install, there is no native support for Android without the add-on hardware.

Space X to Merge with EchoStar?

Charlie really is playing with fire here, who knows the guy is 72 maybe he's ready to just ride off into the sunset and enjoy retirement. What's the point of amassing so much wealth if you don't get to enjoy it?

They should, I would consider them traditional pay TV just with a different method of delivering the content to your TV.

DISH Has Made it Impossible to be a VIP211k Owner

Exactly, the Dish customers that want to buy and own their own equipment are few and the CSRs just aren't familiar with the process.

DISH Has Made it Impossible to be a VIP211k Owner

It really doesn't make financial sense to buy and install your own Hopper. Not only do you have to buy the Hopper, the Joeys, LNB, the node - you're talking $500-$600 which is more than the ETF, plus you still have the exorbitant DVR fee. Wally is plug and play, use your same LNB and wiring...

DISH Has Made it Impossible to be a VIP211k Owner

I did. You're using outdated equipment that is on the verge of being obsolete and it's time to upgrade. You can buy a Wally for $59, own it and install it just as you always have been doing. As with all technology, support ends and newer, updated options become available.

Why wouldn't you want to upgrade to a Wally? It's a much better overall experience.
