Why do I need a Sling Box?

Sorry for incomplete/inaccurate information. We have a 722 Receiver and wanted to receive the programming on either laptop or smart TV. It appears there isn't any workaround since the sling box converts the signal. Thanks Fred

    No UHF Locals In Scan

The Winnegard Sensar IV is an amplified VHF/UHF antenna. I don't believe it has any external components, with the exception of the 12V power supply. Fred

    No UHF Locals In Scan

I recently setup the 211K receiver in our motor home to receive local channels OTA through the receiver. The scans find the VHF channels, however none of the UHF channels. Power boost in "on" and I have rotated the "Bat Wing" antenna several degrees in each direction. I am using...

AAD - Is Out of Business

Doesn't work, I have gone from 1 LNB to 2 LNB's to 3 LNB's and now a Carryout automatic dome.(Receives all three birds, one at a time). Once we leave our home spot (SoCal) we loose all local networks, fortunately we do have Superstation, so we can receive KCAL for local news, but no major...

    Portable antenna question

I have been using portable dish's for over 6yrs, both 500(dual LNB) and 1000, so I could use my 722DVR. The past year I used the Carryout (211receiver) didn't worry about the DVR, much less hassle and learned to take full advantage of AAD East and West feeds. Fred

    Remote RF Anteena

When we at home the remote antenna is attached to a short legnth of coax cable, placing the antenna beside the TV cabinet. In the RV it's attached directly to the receiver. We have to point the remote control in various directions at times, trial and error. fred

Aiming the 1000.2 dish on a tripod

Thanks for the replies. I thought it would be just as hard for the roof mounted units to find the 129 bird, if it sits so low in the sky. In the Pacific Northwest the 119 bird sits at about 34 degrees, is the 129 that much lower?

Aiming the 1000.2 dish on a tripod

We RV travel several months each summer(Western US), using a DishPro 500 mounted on a tripod. When we move to a new location, it takes me approximately 10-15 minutes to aim the dish for the new location. I would like to take full advantage of the HD features on our 722 receiver. If I upgrade to...
