I don't think "d" or "e" will buy Voom. It will be a big cable operator like Comcast or TW with deep pockets looking to expand into sat. I don't think the FCC would allow Murdoch to buy another company anytime soon.

ds5178 You got it. If it doesn't pass the wife test VOOM is toast...well, except to the subculture of HDTV geeks, but you can't run a network with just them.

Dish is in a no win situation. TW has the advantage here, all the Turner channels, Plus HBO, etc. They can not afford to lose any of this programing because it will translate into lost customers. They will pay. After their HD, 921 , Super dish fiasco this company looks like it will always be...

Actually CNN gets more viewers than the other cable nets. Most people who view CNN visit on average 15 minutes get their news then leave. Fox viewers are idealogues... they tune in for longer amounts of time...like hours on end. Thats how they get the higher ratings. I think that explains itself.
