How many 'steps' in one degree of movement?

No problem - hadn't tried it yet anyway. All of this is helping me understand a little bit more. Just glad someone else did the trigonometry for me and put it in a spreadsheet!

How many 'steps' in one degree of movement?

Thanks for all the feedback folks. gpflepsen - I wouldn't mind looking at your spreadsheet if you're willing to share... tekjunkie02 - I'm pretty much still figuring all this out, so I don't understand the link between voltage and polarity. Regardless, I'm assuming you go through this routine...

How many 'steps' in one degree of movement?

Thanks for the tip tekjunkie02. I did go back and find a manual, and you're right, it gives the speeds for 13V and 18V. i guess I don't know which voltage my receiver is using, it's set to 'auto'. If I peg it to one voltage (which I could) - is there an advantage to using 13V or 18V?

How many 'steps' in one degree of movement?

Is there any correlation between one 'step' move with my SG2100 motor in terms of the fractions of degrees that makes the motor move? Or if I select the '1 second' move - same question, is there any correlation? Thanks!

    Thanks for the feedback all!

Storing Satellite Position with DisEqc 1.2

Having some trouble storing satellite positions with my new Traxis DBS6000HD. I'm starting with USALS to get to SES1. Finding BVN fine, but the quality is in the 50's and signal cuts out at times. Then I switch to DisEqc 1.2, and nudge the satellite a few steps to the right - signal improves...

Is my LNB going bad? Blind Scan problems...

Got the SL1PLL installed today. Seems to work fine - skewed it by a few degrees to maximize my true south signal. Still takes 2 blind scans to find some channels though. And I still am not getting the HD PBS stations on 125W. I get the Montana PBS, but neither of the HD ones? The...

Is my LNB going bad? Blind Scan problems...

SL1PLL ordered... snow should melt by the weekend for me to climb on the roof and give it a shot...

Is my LNB going bad? Blind Scan problems...

Correct. Standard Ku band LNBF @ 10750. Looking for suggestions on what my next one will be :)

Is my LNB going bad? Blind Scan problems...

Thanks for the responses all. I don't have a spare LNB or receiver laying around :) But the LNB I have is probably not too fancy and 5+ years old... it might be worth the $15 or so expense to upgrade it. The receiver is brand-new and SEEMS to be behaving OK? Saw one vote for the SL1PLL - any...

Is my LNB going bad? Blind Scan problems...

I have the LO frequency set at 10750 in the receiver... Seems like every new satellite I go to, I have issues finding published FTA feeds at the correct frequency? Tried 125W last night (granted, that's pretty far west) to try and get the HD PBS feeds - the only thing it found with blind scans...

Is my LNB going bad? Blind Scan problems...

Hello - Trying to revive a motorized system that I haven't used in a while, I have a new receiver hooked up to my motorized 30" dish... I think I successfully found my true south satellite at 93W (in Minneapolis, MN), but it took two full blind scans to finally find Azteca... Even at that, it...

    Traxis DBS 3500 keeps rebooting

Thanks for the tip. No luck. Now I get no power at all no matter which outlet I plug it into. Might be time for that new receiver.

    Traxis DBS 3500 keeps rebooting

Hello - first post here, but I've had a Traxis DBS3500 for years now. I use it sparingly, but last time I tried using it, it keeps shutting down and rebooting. It's now in a continual reboot cycle. As soon as I turn on the back rocker switch - it'll display 'on' or 'strt', but never gets...
