Looks like the unplug reset has worked for the time being. I did have a glitch or two last nite so will have to keep monitoring the situation. Thanks for the advice but I do think things will go downhill again.....

My 722 when paused (say after a long phone call) then started again will play at the paused spot then suddenly skip to live TV. This also occurs when I do a replay that is over several minutes long. Anyone else experienced this problem? Hard drive going bad maybe?:rant:

Why is WVIR (channel 29 Charlottesville, Va) not coming through on locals?

For the last week or so we have been experiencing fade outs (both voice and picture) on our locals (Channel 29, WVIR). Anyone else having this problem?

AT&T is terrible I have had trouble with AT&T in the past and do not recommend the company to anyone at all. After two weeks of trying to get credit for long distance charged to me from a different phone number I canceled everything that I had with AT&T. Good luck to you but they stink.

I have a JVC 42in EDTV plasma and up until they changed the format to MPEG 4 I had the HD package using it with a 921 box. The difference in SD and HD was very noticeable especially on the Discovery channel. I would recommend going ahead and doing the HD thing. Have been there and done that...

Yeah, I also recently lost my OTA channels on the 921. Did a reboot...no help but then did a new scan for the channels and voila! There they were and are working fine.

Yup, I have had the same problem with my 921 on several occasions and the power reboot has worked every time. And that's just on the one TV I have it hooked into. Seems I must have a "decent" 921 since this is about the only bug (other than sporatic caller ID problems) that I have encountered...

Yup, definite artifacting present in dark areas on the lessor channels. Best to run these channels through your Svideo conneciton. Not as present in HD through DVI to HDMI cable and premium movie channels in SD. Dish needs to eliminate those horrible shopping channels and provide more HD...
