UHF remote will not work when close to wireless computer

This is just info for anyone having troubles with UHF remotes not working sometimes. In the process of finding out why my UHF remote would not work sometimes, I discovered that it will not work if it is within about 2 ft of a wireless PC. This may depend on several variables, such as the...

Specific difference on VIP722k between UHF antenna Band A and Band B

I was hoping for an engineering explanation of the difference between Band A and Band B. Any engineers out there? Surely there is some specific engineering difference that makes Band B almost always has greater distance than Band A. For me Band A will go about 40 ft and Band B will go 80 feet...

How to add to range of UHF PRO on 722k for multiple TV2s

I ended up using a free solution. I changed the remotes to Band B by giving them an even address and all works fine now. On the 722k the band is determined by whether the remote control address is odd or even. Band B has much greater range. Thanks for all the ideas.

Solution for my UHF antenna range both tv2 and tv1 on 722k

I have had my VIP722k for about 6 months. I have (4) TV2s each in a different room. Initially all TV2 remotes could reach the 722k UHF antenna that I had extended away from the 722k with a 6 ft coax cable. Then over the last month, the UHF remote reception got worse and finally would not work...

How to add to range of UHF PRO on 722k for multiple TV2s

Thanks for your help. I am going to buy the extra antennas. Stripped wire is pretty ugly. I know the stripped wire works because I tried that today. But the antennas are only $4 each.

How to add to range of UHF PRO on 722k for multiple TV2s

You are missing my point. I have (4) TV2s in (4) different rooms. So I will need an antenna in each TV2 room. Right?

How to add to range of UHF PRO on 722k for multiple TV2s

OK. Thanks. But just to make sure you read my specific situation, I have four TV2s. Two of them can access the antenna at the back of the 722k. So for the new setup, I will have one splitter at the 722k to combine the TV2 and antenna cables, and then I will need 2 new antennas plus the one...

How to add to range of UHF PRO on 722k for multiple TV2s

At the 722k receiver, wouldn't I just need one splitter, since the UHF antennae cable and the TV2 cable will be combined before the signals are then split to go to the various (4) TV2s?

Having trouble with TV2 remote for 625 DVR

Will splitters work for your solution, or are splitter/combiners needed? Also, are there any specific specs needed for the splitters (or splitter/combiners?)

How to add to range of UHF PRO on 722k for multiple TV2s

I have a 722k with 4 TV2s. I have extended the UHF antenna outside the entertainment center and it is about 1 foot up on the wall. For two of the TV2s the UHF PRO remotes work fine all the time. They are about 30 feet from the receiver, but in different rooms and different floors. The other...
