I believe you will have to program each one with the code, which is partial RID number of the unit.

Will the peanut remote work on RF with the H25? My recollection is the H25 originally used the older style remote

    Viacom Channel BlackOut

Viacom is very expensive. We are in the process of launching IPTV service for our WISP customers. We chose not to offer Viacom due to the expense.

    The End of DIRECTV?

It is by census tract. We are a small WISP, and have the ability to report to a specific address, but that is not what the FCC asks for.

New Guide UI now rolling out (plus HDR support!)

Mine shows randomly. The Death Star/DirecTV screensaver pops up after 5 min or so. Occasionally, it will switch over to the photos, but not every time...

Want to reserve a tuner for a persistent channel

If a firmware update is not forced when installed, the receiver will do a firmware update and reboot 2-6 hours after activation. That is the reboot you experienced. As already stated, guide updates do not require a reboot.

    Proper grounding

With either example, you are better off not grounding at all. Proper grounding of the dish is by using the same ground as what the equipment is grounded to. If you are going to use a separate ground rod, it needs to be bonded to the house ground. Best approach would be to place a ground block...

    HR22 upgrade advice

Should be able to use the composite adapter for the mini’s. It plugs in the same way as component adapter, but has the composite connections instead.

What receiver combo do you have? A Genie and 2 HD-DVR would be 9 tuners. Your SWM setup only supports 8

    Directv RGB or Ybcr?

I’m pretty sure DirecTV receivers output YPbPr and not RGB from the analog outputs. Possible you have a bad Component adaptor cable?

Why is an HR20 seeking an input on Sat In 2???

Did you go through Sat setup in menu? My memory may be failing me, but I do not believe the HR20 automatically detects SWM as the newer receivers do. If the receiver was originally configured to a non SWM lnb, that may be your problem.

    Pic quality

Are you sure you have the HR54 set for the correct resolution? It’s not enough that you set the resolution in the menu, you also need to select Audio/Video from the Info banner and select change resolution and format to actually set the correct resolution. You probably already have done this...

Need advice on switching to Genie

With Genie and HR24's, the box you set the recording up on is the harddrive you will record on. It is also the device you manage the recordings from, with the exception of deleting the recording. Same as you have now.

    Caller Id & new software

If your VoIP service has CID, and a cable is plugged into the equipment, both providers should work with VoIP if the receiver supports it.

That may be the case. I don't have any clients on my system, all are dvr's or receivers. I may add a client just to see what happens.

    HS-17 Question

One is a showroom box. Our shop is next door to my home, and share the dish. The 2 Genies work great on the same network.
