I too recently told comcast/xfinity where to stick it....terrible service at a very high cost. DISH has been wonderful since day one ! Ive had issues (none with install), but when I need CS, its there..and quickly. All this at HALF the cost :)

I will bypass, then replace our surge, it is fairly old. Hopper is still freezing daily. Will post back after a couple days without the surge.

How does one know the answer to this question ? And which mode is best ? This is coming from someone who didnt even know there was more than one mode.....
