I am thinking of trying to use a Slingbox Pro HD connected to with Component Video and to control an HR54 and view it on a PC upstairs on the same network, while the HR54 is connected to the Main HDTV by HDMI. So, I am asking if the HR54 will simultaneously output HDMI and Component Video.

Are there both RF and IR Remotes available for the HR54? Which comes in the box New?

How does DoublePlay work?

With a Gene HD-DVR, can you - 1. Start a recording that you join In Progress (like a football game by example) 2. Then Pause that Recording, 3. Tune to another Tuner & Channel and Watch TV, 4. Then Return to Original Tuner/Recording which is still Paused where you left it?

I don't mind the light at all. It confirms that things are working as they should. Although with a Hopper 3 and 16 Tuners in a household of even two or three people, you would not know what is recording anyway. They actually make tinted decals to mute the brightness of consumer electronics...
