Things have been working ok keeping a standard room fan on it although I did wake up one morning last week to "no signal" although fthe box would turn the dish. I thought the dish was out of alignment but I had the sense to reboot the box and it came right back after that. So the x2 m1 is...

I just took a ordinary room fan and set it blowing on the receiver. It's nice and cool and hasn't rebooted at all since! Thanks again for everybodys help here today. This was a rather frustrating process, but now that I've done it once i can easily duplicate it. I just had a few errors here and...

Ok got everything set but I guess I need a new receiver because the x2 m1 is known to reboot randomly I'm seeing. Any suggestions on a better receiver that doesn't reboot when changing satellites? Sent from my SM-G900V using the SatelliteGuys app!

That is a great explanation! Thank you very much! I will be trying it in an hour and a half at a new location closer to my house where I will be able to use 100 feet of RG-6 Coax so hopefully the receiver doesn't reboot when rotating the dish. Thanks again!

Thank you all so much for all the help. I'm out of work tonight at 6. I can't wait to try this all out! One question though. What is the benefit of starting out pointing at the satellite closest to south? Why not set it for Galaxy 19 at 97 west and blind scan there? That way you know all the...

oh wait. nevermind- yes this was the picture I took yesterday when I first set it up. You're right. I know what you mean- I have it corrected now. but I'm not sure if I have it setup with the right A or B hole now though. I took a picture of it late last night and I can't find it now.

What pole? It is attached to the pole in the ground, and to the motor mount.

I tried uploading a pic, but it didn't work- I uploaded to picpaste instead- http://picpaste.com/dish-27Pl7dCb.jpg 36" Azureshine dish with STAB HH-90 motor. zip is 27601 What do you think is wrong. From what I read this is a pretty common setup- (which is why I bought it!)

Well it's turning out to be a bigger job than I had anticipated. I need to look at the KE4EST document again and make sure everything is set up right. I have a hole in my motor mount but the dish isn't going through it. In fact it's just in some random position. So I need to fix that too because...

How do I find the satellite that is the nearest south of me? And also, how do I know that satellite has active transponders on it?

OK, well my original thought was correct. I was not receiving a satellite signal from the back yard. I brought the receiver and TV out to the front yard this morning to do some tests. I was able to lock onto a satellite. It had Reuters news and a bunch of Japanese stations on it. So at least I...

Well I got the HH-90 this afternoon. Took a half day off from work to set it up. It's close to midnight here and no luck!! So a couple of things. I was using 250 feet of RG-6 quad shield, which worked fine without a motor- plenty of signal. Then when I hooked up the motor my receiver would reset...

Hello all, My name is J, and I am located in the USA. I have just begun getting into KU-Band FTA satellite viewing, and I find it fascinating. I began on Galaxy 19 at 97w and stayed there for a while, but all that was on there was terrorist nonsense. I've since moved to SES-3 at 103 degrees and...
