    Consolidated Free IPTV App Thread?

I'm not familiar with Stirr, Xumo, or Airy! Will look up. Interesting. Any other hidden gems I'm missing out on? Anything else from OTA world like Grit, Laff, GetTV, etc?

    Consolidated Free IPTV App Thread?

A while back (2 yrs?) I remember starting a thread on free streaming apps. Do we have a new consolidated free IPTV app thread? We were discussing Pluto, Comet, PBS, PBS Kids, Crackle, CW, Tubi, Popcornflix, etc. I think this would be a cool one to revisit if we haven't lately. A lot has...

    Netflix not dead yet

For paid services we're exclusively Netflix & Disney+ right now. No college football would extend that. As far as roaming IPs, I know a ton of ppl who watch Netflix in the hotel for work trips (packing Fire & Roku devices). We do it when traveling to "the grandparents" for my kids to watch...

This site needs to add a list of all OTA channels that are free.

I really like this idea. OTA is rough at my house. Add NHK News to list if not already on it. There's also a ton of like Pluto, Tubi, Crackle, PopcornFlix, etc. These may be free services or VOD type setups, but relevant to discussion I think.

    The PlayStation Vue Thread

stmcld, SEC Network is a must for us during football season. Seeing your avatar, I was on the field for the A&M/UK OT football game last season! I'm really happy with Vue's offering (channels & quality) , but decided to do the math on price. At first glance, Sling didn't come out much cheaper...

Not tying to sale. Freebie for community. If any installers or hobbyists in Houston area that could use Dish satellite, mounting bracket, and/or pole... it's yours. Take entire rig. Did some yard work today & removed. LNBF gone. 2 pics:

Still branded as Sony Crackle right now. Looks like that happen end of March so fairly recent. I quite enjoyed The Oath & Snatch TV series originals.

Why get ROKU over a Tablet?

Agree on remote comments. FF, RW, Pause, etc were a pain on mobile while casting too. More TV like on Roku with remote. Roku also allows for hardwired via Cat 5e/6 if you're near your internet modem or can run cable to TV locations. Media over Coax (to RJ45 Ethernet) is an option as well...

    Cheapest Method for TNT?

Thanks guys. Will tell him to look into Sling & AT&T Watch Now. I honestly forget about the latter.

    The PlayStation Vue Thread

When telling others about Vue, I had several respond with "But I don't have a Playstation." While they might have gained subs from PS console owners, I think they lost a lot more opportunity to gain the casual Sling type audience with their branding. Interesting they decided to brand Crackle...

    The PlayStation Vue Thread

Checking in. This August will be 2 years on Vue :) Still really happy with the platform & cranking the package down to Access tier outside of football season. Hallmark Channel being in Core package & overlapping with football helps Mrs. Jago. Over 2 years I've saved roughly $1,000 - $1,200...

    Cheapest Method for TNT?

I have a buddy asking me the most price aggressive way to access live (not just VOD) TNT via OTT providers? DVR is a bonus. I'm personally a Vue sub ($45 Access non football season, $50 Core during football). I know there are cheaper overall options but Vue fits my family needs... well, wife...

Hallmark Movies Now? - HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE

Yeah, my wife is good now with baseline HM on Vue. She really only "needs" (her words) it during Christmas though. Think HM Now might fill that "off season" gap for her though :) Thankfully she's not addicted to any of their ancillary channels... yet.

Hallmark Movies Now? - HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE

Thanks for the input osu1991 & Jhon69 . I think knowing we'll have PSVue during Hallmark channel primetime (thankfully Christmas overlaps with football) helps my case A LOT. Then she has below set up outside of football season: CW VOD app - terrible teen drama shows (free) PBS VOD app -...

    Any suggestions for rural Internet?

There's a couple of images of their WISP install. The "dish" is roughly 6 inches across. About the size of a standard wireless access point. It's pointed at a (relatively) near cell tower of course.

Hallmark Movies Now? - HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE

I have subpar OTA reception at my house. Now that I know Locast streaming app has free Houston locals, after NCAA football playoffs (January) I am thinking of canceling PSVue for 8 months (until next NCAA football season). The kicker... HALLMARK My better half loves Hallmark. How is the paid...

    ESPN streaming issue on ROKU

I use the standard Watch ESPN app for ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN U, ESPN News, & SEC Network content often. Only the ESPN 3/360 content (at this point) has been moved to ESPN+. I think they may go further back on archived content. Also some B list content is there I don't recall seeing such much of...

What Free IPTV/OTT Apps Do You Use?

My Astros are in a slump! Our games are on TBS this series which thankfully I get on Vue. During the season they play on a AT&T/Direct channel only :( Posted in the Locast specific thread.... but relevant here... this might change my cord cutting options outside of football season: Holy...

    Any suggestions for rural Internet?

Hm, sounds like an interesting ISP set up. Maybe on the TV he can set it up elsewhere. The remote works once it is setup. If he's had the TV for a bit, they came out with a new remote.

    Locast (legal) Roku channel

Holy smokes.... Locast is awesome. I get the following from Houston: - ABC - CBS - NBC - Fox - CW - PBS - My20 - Ion - Multiple Spanish channels Someone from another market give it a shot and see if it routes to your nearest market... or does it only work in certain zip codes? Surprised this...

    Any suggestions for rural Internet?

Their bill runs around $60 to $65 with taxes. I thought it was a very solid price. It is central Texas and there aren't a lot of trees between them and tower. I do see some houses in the area with 30 foot tall towers for that tiny satellite to get over treetops. That WISP company (2 to 3 guys)...

    Any suggestions for rural Internet?

For what it's worth, I set my parents up with a company that does WISP (wireless internet service provider). Essentially, they have a small dish on their house pointed at a local cell tower. This goes inside their home and connects to the carrier gateway router, we then have a WAP hooked up for...
