    U-verse for Internet and phone - good idea?

    I just dropped Uverse internet and phone. I went with Charter Duo. $50.00 a month plus taxes. NO modem rental! I was paying for 12 meg download on Uverse, I now get 30plus meg download on Charter.

    Review of HR34 and H25's

    Household has had the HR34 and TWO H25's for over month and half now. Most bugs have seem to gone away. We had one H25 that would drop the MRV and a call to Direct TV and something was done on their end has fixed that problem. There has been number of times the HR34 has been recording 4 shows...

    New HR34 or wait for Hopper???

    With my luck on DVR's I have had 2 die. One was and SD unit and the other was an HD unit. Living without can be a big pain in the you know what. The HR34 has been great, couple minor problems on whole home BUT it's livable!

    Now the question I have is IF you have a hopper and let's say 2 joeys and your hopper decides to die. You are without until it is replace. Now with my HR34 and my 2 H25's, if the HR34 dies I still have something to use until the unit is replaced.
