The last I've read is the D* Monday launch is still a go. Unlike E*, D* has a spare satellite (D12) built and in standby.

Very very rare that we ever have a sync problem on any channel SD or HD. HR20 on our HD set and D10's on 2 SD tvs. None on OTA either.

It looks like anyone can get the $40 coupons. From what I've seen on forums etc. the converter boxes will probably cost $50-$60. So it seems there will be some out of pocket expense to get a converter box.

Regardless D* has agreements with TIVO in effect till 2012. By that time D* won,t need anything from TIVO.

That may well happen when the district court re-instates the injunction. The appeals court did not overturn the judgement but sent it all back to the district court.

TIVO will be getting tons of money when the federal court awards millions of dollars to them!
