No HMC? Makes me wonder if they will even have the networked DVRs. As much as I loave Dish, Comcast is more expensive for me and I really want to be able to share DVR stuff between at least two tvs. Dish can do that now.

A local dealer told me that the new HD-DVR doesn't have an ATSC tuner.

The HD-Dvr is mid 2006. I guess the rumors of late 1st or early 2nd quarters were wrong. No mention of the HMC either :(

I looked around the Internet and couldn't find an answer to this. Does this Moca standard work with splitters? I'm looking at my setup trying to see how this will work. Right now, my tv cable comes into a central box and then distributes through out the house. So if the system doesn't work...

I emailed him and in a rather brief reply he stated the 24 markets were fact. No link or anything so I'm not sure where he found this information. I'm skeptical with out any kind of proof.

"DIRECTV has announced that it will offer High-Definition TV feeds of local channels in 24 markets this fall" Did I miss this news release? Seems he mixed that "announced" with "I predict".

Stopped in Greenwood, IN and the promotion was not there. So its not all central IN stores.

How long does it take to get a response from VE? I sent them an email almost 2 days ago about purchasing a system and haven't heard back. Just seems like a long time based on all the positive reviews I've heard on the board.

Are you still hearing that there is a Mpeg 4 HD-Dvr coming soon? There has been conflicting information about whether or not one even exsists or how far along it is. Any update about the hardware or release date of the HMC?
