I got it figured out. I just hooked the Dish Receiver directly to the VCR through the AV cables. My problem was, I needed to change the input on the VCR. Thanks.

Receiver to tuner and the tv acts as a monitor. As for the Dish receiver, it has 311 on the front. I am sorry, I must sound like an idiot, but this is new. Thanks
