    You don't need the remote to set the Accurian up...use the box itself...Other universal remotes work fine (and with a stronger signal) with the Accurian...use PIONEER codes. I use a cheap Zenith remo-con and it works fine.

    I got a $10 'desktop' antenna at a store called "Big Lots" that's similar to a $30 RadShak (Cat # 15-1838)...a.c. powered/amplified with vhf ears and uhf 'loop' that gets all the digital stations within 30miles...though it does need adjustment from one station to another sometimes.... Good luck...

    I just picked up a $10 a.c. powered/amplified antenna at Big Lots that reads on the box Digital HDTV Ready, 25db gain, (looks like the one at RadShak for $30) and it pulls in all the West Palm Beach area stations great on my Accurian.

    I stopped by Big Lots and picked up a $10 a.c. powered/amplified tabletop antenna (looks like the one with the hoop @ RS for $30) that reads on the box Digital HDTV Ready, 25db gain...and it works...pulling in all the avall. channels in West Palm Beach area with my Accurian.

    PIcked up a desktop a.c. powered/amplified HDTV digital tv antenna at Big Lots for $10 that is like a $40 RS one...hooked it up to the Accurian and it pulls in all the local HD stations, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS, and a few indies...with a 70+ meter reading...that is virtually as good as Adelphia...

    HD-OTA...via accurian from RS Picked up a demo the mgr had in the back...stopped by Big Lots otwh and got a $10 amplified/a.c. powered antenna (say "Digital HDTV ready" on the box) and all the networks are coming into West Palm great (gen. 70+ on the meter)...and am watching the yanks/angels...
