Audio dropouts/pixelation watching ABC HD feed

I had several problems over the weekend watching shows that had been recorded from WJLA. Realizing that the Super Bowl is in 2 weeks and getting desperate, I decided to do some more digging and found this thread at AVS Forum (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=6979435#post6979435)...

Audio dropouts/pixelation watching ABC HD feed

I checked my signal levels and I couldn't find any channel under 70. My ABC channel was 92. So, I don't understand how the problem could be my antenna orientation. I tried resetting my TiVo. Kind of annoyed because I didn't realize that this would reset my "Channels You Receive" settings. I had...

Audio dropouts/pixelation watching ABC HD feed

This problem seemed to go away temporarily for me and it started back again about two weeks ago. I noticed it during several playoff games broadcast on ABC, during Desperate Housewives and on Lost. It is a problem that I do not seem to have on any of my other local channels. I called WJLA...

Audio dropouts/pixelation watching ABC HD feed

I called them today and got some guy's voicemail. I left him a message. I'm sure that if enough people call him and report the problem, they will bump it up in priority. Brian

Audio dropouts/pixelation watching ABC HD feed

OK. Thanks for the post. Glad to get an answer from another WJLA viewer. This means that the problem is most definitely a WJLA problem (not an ABC problem) since no one else is reporting glitches. I think we need to complain to the station directly. The main phone number is 703-236-9552. If...

Audio dropouts/pixelation watching ABC HD feed

I have been having non-stop problems watching hi-def programs on ABC for the past 4 days. About every 2-4 minutes on average the audio will dropout and the screen will pixelate. It started Sunday with "Desperate Housewives", continued with "Greys Anatomy", "Monday Night Football" on Monday...

MPEG4 HD DVR and Home Media Center news:

    Thanks. So I guess you are saying 1 = sat1, 2 = sat2, 3 = sat3, 4 = sat4 and no OTA tuner? Brian

MPEG4 HD DVR and Home Media Center news:

I'm not doubting LonghornXP's information. But I can't imagine *why* this unit would need 4 coax cables. If it turns out to be correct, that is only 1 more connection than the HR10-250. I'm just wondering what the 4th coax is for. 1 - for sat tuner 1 1 - for sat tuner 2 1 - for OTA tuner 1...

MPEG4 HD DVR and Home Media Center news:

Thanks LonghornXP. It's good to know (and it makes sense) that the overwhelming majority of customers opting for an HMC will not need any new wiring. I guess in this kind of setup the new multiswitch would also act as a network switch. Brian

MPEG4 HD DVR and Home Media Center news:

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. I searched and couldn't find anything. Regarding the HMC... I'm a little confused about how the streaming will work. I already have an Ethernet CAT-5 network set up in my house which goes to my entertainment room. But I keep reading about the HMC using...
