So a comment about the MPEG2 shutoff at the end of summer...does that include SD as well as HD. I have a 625 and have not invested in HD yet, will I need to upgrade my box to a new MPEG4 box, to continue to get just the SD channels...?

Do you mean the DishPlayer 625 or the vip622...either one should work the same, I have the DP625 myself, and yes you can use the TV2 output to send out a cable compatible signal, I believe the default is channel 60, and if you have standard cable splitters you should be able to watch that signal...

Personally, it's too small for my tastes, I like and use the iPronto from Philips, much larger, plus web surfing capabilites, and integrated interactive guide, lots of cool features, plus fully customizable interface...that is if you are into a little light programming and ahve the time and...

I've seen some threads about this, but is it publically available yet, do they spool east to west, or no particular order, is there a way to force a download...?

So what is the breakdown now, as to which markets are available, including the announcment that was just made...?
