I did. After a painstakingly systematic approach (printing out every possible combination). I got to the 20th page out of 20 pages of codes and cracked mine! What a gomer, huh?

I would consider purchasing it from your friend if he/she wants to get rid of it. I am willing to spend countless hours of un-entertaining monotony punching in codes.

www.antennaweb.org will tell you which exact direction your antenna should be pointed. Then you don't need to worry about aiming it. I had little to no luck with an indoor antenna. I got a cheap outdoor at home depot and aimed it and threw on a 12 db amplifier (no diplexor) and mine pulls...

Yep, that's what I did. Component cables from the voom box to the tv. Then another set of red and white rca's from the voom box also to the TV input. It's magical! You can't have HDTV without awesome sterio sound!!!! You just can't! It's illegal or something (or at least it should be).

Believe it or not....and on the 20th page of 20 possible pages of code combinations.....I cracked the code. I did find a workaround for the 1 minute wait time between 3 wrong code attempts....if anyone is interested.

Posted this up on another VOOM board but I think there are more users in this forum so... I have a box that I know the Parental code for but when I go to remove the code, I get back to the menu which shows no padlock icon anymore. Then as soon as I hit a menu again the lock symbol is there...

The previous owner sold it to me on ebay saying that they had no way to test it. I figured I'd take a chance on it. Oh well..

I bought a box off ebay and cannot get to the scan channels area because there is a parental code set. Is there any way to reset this or do I have to try the 10,000 combinations to guess the code? 0000 doesn't work nor do 1111 2222 3333 4444 5555 6666 7777 8888 9999 :(

I put it on native (which I like because it automatically adjusts the shape of the picture to the correct shape) but it takes so long when switching channels before you see the picture. Any way to speed that up? I have it set to the 1080 now because I don't like the wait.

I think I will try to get it to native mode then. Can I just push that button anytime while the box is on?

Well I ended up getting the other machine to scan (and find) channels. I powered it off, on and then hit the little red reset button under the far right hidden compartment on the front. Then it worked just fine. MAN! I am super impressed with the picture I get on the HD channels. I had...
