    FCC cannot do anything I have already contacted them, but feel free to try it: 1-888-225-5322. You can file a complaint with your state's Attorney General which I have done. You can also email Dish Network and contact Viacom by phone.

    they have a mail feature on the receivers that could have been used to notify customers. they chose not to. as soon as i can get out of my contract i will. a couple of people i know called direct tv and they told them of their situation and direct tv has offered to pay their cancellation to switch.

    yes but the contract also states that they have to give prior notice: section 1.g of the customer agreement stating that they have to provide notice of pending channel changes.

    Texas residents can file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General: http://www.oag.state.tx.us The more people that complain the faster this will be resolved.

    IMO there should be a class action lawsuit filed. if we are not given the option to pay for the channels and they are just not offered at all with no notice then we should have the right to cancel service and go with a provider that offers the services/channels that we want.

    I do not have that option. If I try to cancel because I haven't had my service a year, I am subject to a cancellation fee. I feel this is unfair. If they cannot offer the channels I want I feel I should have the option of switching providers.

    can i cancel service my 1 year isn't up until july. i am being told if i cancel they will charge me 250.00. i watch mtv, comedy central, and my daughter watches nick. if i cannot have these as an option should i not have the right to cancel?
