As long as the show on your box has a description, it'll look at that and not record the new(er) show. I know this cause MTV and VH1 always play shows over and over... it'll record one and skip the rest. As far as the same show being on different channels, I don't know. It *should* though.

WOW, that looks just like the 522, except for the guide with video (4 channels instead of 5) and the "TV Guide" logo on the screen. I didn't know the 942 had so much recording time - 25 hrs/HD and 180 hrs/SD? WOW! I don't even have an HD set but I want to replace my 522 already!! :D
