I just subscribed again and Halo is the only series I can find that is 4K Dolby Vision/Atmos. NCIS:Sydney is 4K Dolby Vision, but only stereo audio. I watched NCIS and Blue Bloods and they are HD, not HDR. Newer shows like CSI:Vegas, Fire Country, etc. are 4K only, not HDR. Standard scripted...

I brought my Apple TV 4K with me on a trip and I was surprised when I could play my latest recordings complete with my local commercials (I have DIRECTV satellite service.) I was able to FFWD through commercials as well. Is this a new capability for the DIRECTV app?

I have been checking various Max programs to make sure I haven’t lost Dolby Vision/Atmos. Once that changes, I’ll probably cancel my sub through DIRECTV and add the Ultimate tier for a month to catch up on shows from time to time.

If they had said I'd keep 4K as long as I kept my DIRECTV subscription to HBO/Max, I'd have kept it indefinitely. Now, I'll cancel the add on and add Max to the rotation of streaming services that I add for a month and catch up on what I've missed.
