I am not sure if this would work, but what about using one of the wireless extenders that have ethernet? Prior to wireless being so popular, most devices were ethernet only and you could buy a wireless extender to connect ethernet. May be worth a shot if you have one laying around..

I think you may be mis interpreting what they gave you as I received similar. You are getting 25 off per month for 6 months or $ 150 total

Unfortunately, it is not available in Kansas City, MO.... only 4 options: DirecTV, Dish, Time Warner, and ATT (which is not sure because service availability is spotty).
