    Washington D.C. Metro area Voomers

Thanks for the reply, John. The problem has been occurring for more than a week, unfortunately. Plus, I get all the other local DC networks in just fine OTA. Watched LOST last night on ABC-7 in HD, and it came in perfect. From what I can tell from antennaweb.org, both the CBS and FOX HD...

    Washington D.C. Metro area Voomers

I live in Olney, MD. I have recently started having problems getting a signal for the local HD DC-FOX channel. It used to come in fine, then it started to go in and out during the day (during football games!). Now it doesn't come in at all. I have an antenna (not sure which type) that...

Suggestion for movie for Monsters channel??

My recommendation would be an H.P. Lovecraft film series (The Re-Animator movies, From Beyond, Daigon, etc.). Also, maybe a film series of the Evil Dead movies (I and II, and Army of Darkness).

    Phone survey

I received the survey call on Saturday night. They started off right away saying it was a Voom survey, so I stuck it out. My survey call lasted about 40 minutes. Some of the questions seemed repetitive regarding which HD channels I liked the best and watched the most. Of the Voom originals...

Is your homeowners association pressuring you about antennas

I think there may be two problems with this HOA rule: 1. The limit of one dish would prevent one from receiving say, Voom and D*. Wouldn't this go against the spirit of the FCC rules? 2. From what I understand, HOA rules are ok so long as they are reasonable and not applied selectively...

Is your homeowners association pressuring you about antennas

My HOA is pretty strict and requires that you notify them when you put up a satellite dish. They won't deny you the dish so long as you tell them about it and it is no larger in diameter than what is cited in the FCC rules (I believe 1 meter). They are silent on antennas. I am guessing that...

0 Signal from Sat during T-storm

I have to agree. We have been getting cloudy/stormy weather practically every night in the last week or so (MD), and we lose Voom. I switch over to D*, and everything is fine. Not saying I will drop Voom, just kind of irritated about that. Is Voom going to start switching subscribers...

    What's your favorite HD Channels?

That kind of confused me also, since the NFL channel is listed as one of the HD channels in the poll. Does anyone know whether any HD programs will be offered on this channel once the season starts? Otherwise, why is it listed as an HD channel?????

    surprised

I have both D* (had for four years, will keep as long as they are the only one providing the NFL Sunday Ticket) and Voom (had since April). One thing that bothers me is that I lose the signal for Voom with the slightest overcast cloud cover, but under the same conditions the signal for D* is...

VOOM GLOOM (Now you see it, now you don't)

I finally had my Voom installed last Sunday (4/25), after having two canceled appointments. The installer for me was also from Datalink Communications. When talking to the installer, I found out that he is actually an independent (self-employed) contractor. So (at least in my area) Voom subs...
