I've tried the best OTH antennas. The position of my roof in relation to the surrounding roofs makes OTH reception impossible.

I know that some areas of the US still don't receive local channels in HD. That sucks. However, big markets like San Francisco still get PBS in only SD. Any thoughts on the future? KQED in HD would be so cool.

I have America's Top 250 with HD & Platinum. I have found five of the new HD channels (don't have Showtime) but can't find the new Retro and Indie channels. Can anyone help? Thanks.:o

I've tried third generation Panasonic and Sony Blu Ray players and my A3 upconverts DVDs better than either of them.

Wow. I just discovered that Charlie added KRON HD to our Bay Area locals yesterday. This station is in bankruptcy. Outside of a pretty good news department they show cheapo syndicated programs like "Entertainment Tonight" and "Dr Phil."

I'm totally underwhelmed by these additions. BET Jazz is crummy old SD videos and the other three channels are just tiny expansions of premium channels to which I do not subscribe.

Dish is now incomprehensibly complicated.

I think Dish is purposely confusing it's customers with all this ridiculous programming complexity. I'm fed up with this crazy sh*t.

I can't receive the ota San Francisco HD PBS channel, or any other ota channel due to the surrounding topography. What is the possibility that Dish will add this? Thank you.:hungry:

Reddice, your comment is pathetically misinformed. I have a fantastic Panasonic plasma and am by no means uneducated. I watch virtually no SD.

Thank you Ilya. I agree with everything you've said. It is not my intention to have the last word here, but I maintain my original assertion that the SD DVD 480p/auto resolution setting of the A-3 produces a picture quality superior to the same setting of either the BDP-S350 or the DMP -BD35.
