    Nexstar/Mission/White Knight dispute with DIRECTV

True, and I have one, but it’s hit and miss. Sometimes channels come in fine, sometimes not at all. Unfortunately my CBS station, the only one owned by Mission in my area, gets the worst reception for me.

    Nexstar/Mission/White Knight dispute with DIRECTV

Yep, mines gone today. Figures. Only way to really guard against these anymore is to go straight to the source. You can get CBS local stations from Paramount. Not all are available, though, so that’s not really a great solution either. These disputes are guaranteed anymore. Getting ridiculous.

I still have my Mission station so I guess a deal was reached?

    Disney Networks Dispute Recitifed

$1 billion annually breaks down to about $83 million per month. Divide that by the 14 million customers Dish had last quarter and you’re looking at a $5.95/month increase. That’s about what Dish increases prices to every year anyway.

    Cord Cutting Spikes

Yeah, this exactly! That happens to me all the time. Add in the multiple apps and I could easily spend hours scrolling through an endless supply of content and still not find anything I want to watch. At least with cable, it only took a few minutes to scroll through the channels they provided.

Thinking of going from DTV to DTV Stream...questions

It’s odd that NFL Net isn’t there. I suspect that has something to do with their NFLST contract which should expire after this upcoming season. It’s not quite as important as it once was though since there are no live games on it now.

    Dish Remote 54.0 Failure?

Not a sun problem as this happens whether sunny or cloudy. Also the H3 is in the middle of the room, far away from windows. I’ve moved the H3 to different parts of the room, also tried an antenna extender, same outcome. I’m grasping at straws too but I think this has to have something to do...

    Dish Remote 54.0 Failure?

So for me, the plot thickens. I seem to only have the problem during the day time. Once it’s dark outside, the remote works fine with no issues. During the day, it’s constantly freezing and missing button presses. Recently swapped out my receiver and same issue. - H3 - 54.0, 54.1, 54.3 - SW- H315

    Dish Remote 54.0 Failure?

A new antenna did not solve this issue for me. I’ve now replaced the remote three times, tried two antennas, performed multiple restarts and even a partial reset and still have this problem. The buttons on the front panel always work fine and my Harmony linked via IP works fine, but these RF...

    Dish Remote 54.0 Failure?

I’ve had this happen to me regardless of what remote I tried. I ordered a new remote antenna to see if that fixes it. Frustrating issue.

NFL Network and DISH reach new multi-year carriage agreement

Might be too little, too late. I imagine the die-hard Redzone fans had already left before Sunday given that Fubo and YTTV now offer that. Not sure how many others stuck around. There’s only 17 weeks in the NFL season so every Sunday counts!

    NFL Network / NFL Redzone

Dish has to be just milking current customers for all they’ve got in what is likely the waning years of sat tv. Channels keep disappearing but cost keeps going up. It’s all about the investors now (and probably always has been honestly). I recommend Fubo or YTTV for NFL & Redzone. I’ve tried...

    FUBO subs - question

Streaming often goes as well as your Internet goes. If you have a solid connection, hard wire your tv devices to the router, and have large amounts of bandwidth, then you’ll be fine.

    My future with Dish

You could try Hulu Live and Fubo. That would get you the RSNs and NFL, plus all other major league sports channels. The price would likely be similar, or maybe even cheaper, than Hulu and Dish together.

    The YouTube TV Thread

I just signed up for YTTV a few days ago. I’m currently using Hulu +Live and got tired of the DVR restrictions. Given the $15 increase, however, I’ll likely stay with Hulu. Their library far exceeds any other provider and their live offering has improved significantly over the years. It’s...

Need some recommendations for internet TV?

Hulu Live TV is a good option. I recently replaced my Dish service with this and couldn’t be happier! They have a large channel selection missing only Viacom, pro sports league channels like NFL, MLB, etc., and a few others. Plus you get access to the extensive Hulu streaming library. The...

New channels in the Top 120?

I noticed today that I have the Science channel, AHC, Hallmark Movies & Mystery, and DIY in the Top 120+ package. I looked online and can’t find any info of these channels being in a free preview or having been added to this package. Does anyone know if this change is permanent?

Fox Blocks Millions of DISH Customers

I understand both sides of this but at the end of the day, Dish is a television provider and their ultimate reason for existence is to provide television. If they fail to do that then eventually customers will flee to other television providers. I also understand the need to keep costs down...

Fox Blocks Millions of DISH Customers

The time has come and NFL Net is airing some show about the greatest plays of all time instead of the game. I’m not in an affected market and still have my local Fox (thankfully) so I can watch it there. I’m not sure how a Fox pulled this off but pretty scary that they did.
