Ive have the exact same issue for months and finally the tech who came out to the house today admitted that this is a known issue with Dish and the solution is to disconnect the cable off the hopper that connected to the outside antenna for your locals. Im now forced to pay the $12 monthly fee...

I have the HOPPER and they issued an update to the receiver. One big change was the look/display of the Search Menu. I have the HBO and Showtime package mostly to watch Boxing. But with the latest update to the receiver the search for Boxing is gone. A real bummer. PLEASE PUT IT BACK!!!!

I got an email from Voom saying they now have 11 new channels, but on your post I only counted 9. Are they HD or SD? So far from what I see of the new channels, its nothing to get excited about.

So what are the new channels? Also will they ever offer PPV? Its been long overdue. I called them over a year ago and asked, and all they say is "we are working on it" Yea right.

Since you can put a spliter on the cable modem line and also get basic tv service without having to pay for it, the cable company probably assumes many are doing that, so now they want you to go on this new plan so they can charge you the extra $$ for cable TV. Thats just not right for those...

Sorry I took so long to respond. Yes I tried doing the reset and that didnt work. I had a Tech come in an he had to replace the PC board on the TV. Now the set is working fine. There is also an update to the firmware to correct the problem where the TV shuts of by itself, then after a few...

Thank you for the welcome :) I had tried both, remote and front panel. I read somewhere months ago this was a known problem with this model TV but can't remember what the cause or solution was. I will be putting in a service call today and will post back the results. Thanks for your reply.
