I heard AT&T was coming out with a Genie cell phone. It only does 2G and you will need an adapter to display 4K content.

I agree about not calling people names but 20 minutes is nothing compared to the almost hour and a half I spent trying to cancel my Spectrum service.

They raised their prices more. I also have Directv and I got an $9 increase and Dish was $5. I used to have Spectrum and they raised their prices about three times a year. I also had to pay Spectrum about $36 a month just to use their 12 year old dvrs with two tuners.

They should just pay whatever the station is asking for. I'm sure you won't mind your bill going up $20 a year because you will still have your channels.

I don't know how "stupid" Dish is since they at least didn't take away the ability to connect an external hard drive to their later model receivers. I had an HR-54 receiver that had no esata port then got an HS-17 that also had no esata port.

I agree that you shouldn't select a satellite service based on rain fade. I have both services and Directv has gone out a lot more times than Dish and yes my Directv dish is peaked so it's not an issue with something wrong with the dish or installation.

If you think Dish equipment is "kangaroo garbage" then you must of never used a Directv Genie. My grandmother moves faster than that.

You didn't get the point of my post. I was pointing out that some people think that only the channels they want should be added and other channels that people want are "garbage".

I say take off all the sports channels like ESPN and the rest of the regional sports networks and garbage channels like Fox News and Fox Business and put the rest of the premium movie channels in HD.

It's also going to be a shame when Dish buys Directv or when AT&T runs it into the ground. Whichever comes first.

Yeah it's much better to piss your customers off with constant missed recordings and descriptions that tell you nothing about the show or movie than to raise their bill.
