    HDTV vs DVD

    Since DVD's aren't HD, What do the broadcasters use to provide HD movies? Do they use the movie reels (original film) or what? If they use a movie source that isn't HD, then aren't we just getting a lesser quality movie that is simply being broadcast in HD?

    DVD movies are not in high definition. Does VOOM get its HD movies from film reels? How does this work?
