    As wrong as the spelling. Sputnik, Bell Canada, Western Union and Comsat just to name a few that also paid for the launch, launch vehicle and rent for the facilities. ;)

    How many E12 spotbeam Tps are restricted to use outside the EA? Conversion of WA is not likely to provide much ConUS for years without a massive upheaval. They need to start with a few local markets at a time. Not sure if DiSH Latino channels are licensed for Puerto Rico? Maybe better placed...

    if E12 continues to carry its share of the load there is no need for E15 to carry more than 19 Tps. If E15 has to carry some of what may be normally perceived as E12 ConUS activity, Double power is not so bad and should be an improvement over E3. What programming can be moved or added to E15...

    You are correct, the 110/119 locals still have SD counterparts for the HD locals. They need to start working on that. The Eastern Arc(EA) is noy part of that and it already has the extra SDs removed and it is all MPEG4. So. How many PBS HD markets does DIRECTV have to carry and when?

    They need to start the conversion to MPEG4 now, one or two markets at a time, doing the locals only. They will never be able to do an enmasse conversion of WA to MPEG4 until many of the local markets have been converted. Greg, as they convert a local market that has HD locals they can remove...

    I don't believe those emptu spot Tps will work for all the other spots. Anyway there enough empty ConUS Tps to fill in.
