    I don't dismiss this point of view. :) But I'm not trying to get something for nothing and I already pay for my locals through cable. As someone else mentioned on another thread, I shouldn't HAVE to cheat. I could order a New York Times subscription and my local paper couldn't say anything...

    I already have full local network coverage, so it's more wanting to timeshift and avoid local suckiness and pre-empting. We had the NY feed up until last week, so that's the preference. Also, I think NY would be the last market to go spotbeam, so I'm guessing it's potentially safer with that feed.

    We never needed service on our dish itself that we couldn't fix ourselves or get an independent installer tech to fix.

    Up until last week, our Service Address and our Billing Address were in two different states and we never had any issues. Although we did that change in the opposite direction - keeping old Service Address and putting new Billing Address.
